📖 How to play Solitaire (Klondike)
Goal: build all four suits up from Ace to King on the four foundations (top right).
- The table: seven columns. Only the last card of a column is face up at the start. The stock (top left) holds the other 24 cards; tap it to turn cards onto the waste next to it. When the stock is empty, tap it again to turn the waste over (costs points).
- Moving in the columns: put a card on a card of the opposite colour that is one higher (a red 7 on a black 8). You can move a whole run of face-up cards together. Only a King (with the cards on it) may go on an empty column. When you move the last face-up card away, the card under it turns over.
- Foundations: start with an Ace, then 2, 3 … up to King, all the same suit. You can also take a card back down from a foundation if that helps.
- Controls: tap a card to send it to the best place (foundation first), or drag it where you want it. 💡 Hint shows a good move, ↶ Undo takes back as many moves as you like, and Auto-finish appears when every card is face up.
- Modes: Draw 1 turns one card at a time (easier); Draw 3 turns three and you can only use the top one (classic, harder).
- Score: waste to column +5, to foundation +10, column to foundation +10, turning a card over +5, foundation back to a column −15, turning the waste over again −100 (Draw 1) or −20 (Draw 3).
- Deals: with “New deals can always be won” on (the default), a computer solver checks the deal first, so it is possible to win, though it may be hard to find the way. Daily deal is the same random deal for everyone today (it may not be winnable). Replay this deal starts the same cards again.
