20 ghosts roam this mansion. Spot 9 paranormal things by clicking them, then find the purple portal. A ghost that reaches you from behind costs a life, so keep facing them. 3 sweets = 1 life.

How to play: W / ↑ walk, S / ↓ back, ← → (or A / D, or drag on the picture) turn, Q / E side-step, hold Shift to run. Click (or tap) a door to open it, click a glowing haunted thing (candle, portrait, doll, hand, orb) when it is within 7 steps to spot it. Spot all 9 to unlock the purple portal. Click any close monster (ghost, bat, pumpkin or skeleton, within 6 steps) to send it away; the lantern needs 5 seconds to recharge. Pick up sweets: 3 = 1 life. Ghosts freeze almost completely while you look at them, and one that touches you from the front just gives up, but one that touches you from behind or the side makes you scream and lose a life. The walls have gilded paintings, and the portraits' eyes follow you. Look for the dining rooms and bedrooms in the style of Louis XVI. Now and then a ghost comes out of a wall, painting, mirror, the floor or the ceiling just round the corner from you. Bats scare you, pumpkins slow you down and skeletons steal sweets, but only ghosts take lives. Space / F opens the door in front, M map, P pause.
