Crashed!
Reading the model…
✈ Banner Plane
You are on the runway. Hold Shift for power, then pull back (S) at about 65 knots. Your banner follows behind. Fly over the city!
Use your own 3D city (smallt tips: there are some maps in Sketchfab)
Choose a .zip, or a .glb, .obj or .gltf (select its .bin and picture files together with it), or drop them on the picture. It is scaled and put on the ground for you, and you can crash into its roofs and walls.
Settings that change the world (city size, time of day, model options) start you again on the runway. Nothing is uploaded: a model you choose stays in your browser.
Controls
| Shift / Ctrl (or PgUp / PgDn) | more / less engine power. Z full, X idle |
| W / S or ↑ / ↓ | pitch. Like a real plane: S / ↓ pulls the nose up, W / ↑ pushes it down (press I to swap) |
| A / D or ← / → | bank (roll) left / right |
| Q / E | rudder (steer on the ground, small turns in the air) |
| B | wheel brakes (hold). They are on while you wait at the start |
| F / G | F = full screen. G = flaps (0, 1, 2): lower take-off and landing speed, more drag |
| C | camera: side view (shows the banner), behind, cockpit, free (drag the mouse, wheel to zoom) |
| R · N · P · M · H | runway restart · new random city · pause · sound on/off · hide the instruments |
| Touch screen | left pad = bank and pitch, right slider = power, buttons for rudder, brake, flaps, camera |
How to play and what is real
- Take off: hold Shift until the speed reads about 65 knots (120 km/h), then ease back with S. Climb, then fly over the city.
- Easy flying (default): release the keys and the wings level out and the plane holds its nose angle, like an autopilot. It will not stall unless you let it slow down. Realistic is a plain plane: it needs trim and care.
- Land: throttle back, aim for the runway (west of the city), descend gently and touch down below about 3 m/s (600 ft/min). You can also land on a flat roof, but a wing or the nose hitting a building ends the flight.
- Banner: a rope with a banner trails from the tail and waves. It has no effect on the flying.
- The plane is a light single-engine trainer (about 1,100 kg, stalls near 50 knots, cruises at 100 to 120 knots).
